Heike Bergdolt-Batista, RLA
Senior Landscape Architect
Heike draws design inspiration from the beautiful Bavarian landscapes of her adolescence, where she was raised working in the fields of her family’s farm near the Alps in Germany. As a landscape architect, she strongly believes in genius loci—capturing the spirit or the specific character of a place. Her typology focus is on sustainable infrastructure and public space, and she manages projects from schematic design to construction administration including Del Valle Plaza, PS 32K, Broadway Malls, and Edenwald YMCA.
As a proud, longtime resident of Inwood, Heike is a member of “Moving Forward Unidos”—a group created to improve the quality of life for the Inwood and Washington Heights community. Heike enjoys spending time with her wife, giant dog, and two cats, and she also loves making traditional Bavarian dishes like Knoedel or Spaetzle.
