HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY  | SHUART STADIUM + FIELD HOCKEY STADIUM

For Hofstra’s Shuart Stadium and Field Hockey Stadium, ABB designed two projects concurrently on a fast-tracked schedule to expedite construction completion in time for seasonal use. At Shuart, the multipurpose 12,000-seat home to the Hofstra Pride football and lacrosse teams, ABB designed a state-of-the-art infill synthetic turf athletic field. The newly regraded field significantly improves playing conditions by eliminating a central crown.  

At the Field Hockey Stadium, ABB designed a conventional nylon synthetic turf field to replace existing natural turf, spectator seating for 200 people, a press box, scoreboard, and an irrigation system.
