Terri-Lee Burger Portrait

Terri-Lee Burger, RLA

Partner

Terri joined ABB in 1993, and since that time has worked to realize the potential of each landscape by drawing upon a design philosophy that creative solutions to complex projects emerge when we embrace apparent limitations as real opportunities. Like John, she engages directly in all aspects of design development and realization. Over her thirty years of experience, she has developed an approach that distills and integrates site conditions, client visions and goals, and end-user needs.  Named Partner in 1999, Terri is committed to maintaining the conceptual clarity of projects and enabling their nuanced refinement through detailing and materialization.

Terri’s award-winning expertise in park design is nationally recognized. With acclaimed projects including Schaefer Esplanade, Queens West, also known as Gantry Plaza State Park, and the first phase of Hudson River Park, she has led design teams to create exceptional new public spaces throughout New York City. Terri has overseen the design of several projects seeking LEED certification and has been a leader in promoting sustainable design strategies to private and public-sector clients. Terri is a Registered Landscape Architect in the state of New York and New Jersey.
