THE PLAZA

When ABB redesigned the courtyard, fountain, and plantings at the century-old Plaza Hotel,  it drew inspiration from the building’s French architectural design and iconic Parisian gardens. The rich palette of materials includes stone balustrades consistent with original details, limestone walls, bluestone paving, and a stabilized gravel court bordered by granite cobblestones. In the courtyard, casual seating and seasonal planted urns provide passive recreation for new building residents. A cascading linear fountain bisects the courtyard and terminates in a rectangular pool.
